Big News at PENN!
We have some exciting news! Mrs. Margo Simpson has been appointed the new Administrative Intern at Penn.
Mrs. Simpson has been at Penn for three years where she is currently the 2nd grade lead, is on the Leadership Team, and the PBIS Team.  Before Penn, she worked at Signal Hill Elementary in PWCS for nine years.  There she taught K-5 and spent her last three years as the Math/Science Specialist. Prior to education, Mrs. Simpson was in the medical and military contracting field. We are very excited to have her join our Administrative Team at PENN. Congratulations Margo!

Summer Learning
Penn Summer Reading Lists 2015
It's Summer Reading Time! Remember, you can complete your summer reading by participating in your PWC Public Library Summer Reading Program or the Penn Elementary program from our website.  Grades K -2 must read a minimum of 5 books and Grades 3 -5 must have read 3 books.  Bring your documentation, signed by a parent/guardian, to school by Friday, September 4th and turn them in to your classroom teacher.  All students who complete their requirements will not only earn extra credit but will also receive a special summer reading charm for their Penn Charm Chain.  Which class will have the most summer readers?   Click on the link to view the suggested Summer Reading Lists for rising Kindergarten through 5th grade students.

Students who choose the option of participating in the Prince William Public Library summer reading program should read the number of books designated for their grade level:
Grades K-2 Read 5 books
Grades 3-5 Read 3 books
Grades 6-12 Read 2 books
